Let me introduce myself
My name is Lex Smeets and live in the south of the Netherlands.
For the past 22 years I worked for Sogeti, currently as a Business Intelligence Architect. My main focus is on Power BI, SQL Server and the Azure Data Platform.
I started as a Cobol engineer helping to fixed sthe millenium bug. Now, with over 23 years of experience in databases and business intelligence platforms I am specialised in the Microsoft Power Platform and SQL Server.
Spent many years working on data migrations, creating ETL processes in SSIS, designing and developing cubes in SSAS and designing reports in SSRS and Power BI.
Currently I support organizations in working with Power BI. Also I develop and architect solutions build on the Power Platform and Azure SQL Server databases.
